Our site is both a public service and paid directory for all businesses, mainly, but not limited to, the greater Liberty Avenue shopping district spanning Ozone park to Richmond Hill to Jamaica in Queens, New York. We’ve included many businesses from the streets off Liberty Avenue since they are all just as accessible. A separate OFF LIBERTY shopping guide is on it’s way for all surrounding avenues and streets and will be integrated to either narrow or expand your business searches to better find what you’re looking for.
This page is for both you shoppers and advertisers out there. Sometimes you would be one or the other or both. Depending on which hat you’re wearing when reading this page, we hope you get all the information you need. If not, please tell us.
We operate out of South Ozone Park, New York, and yes, we also do our shopping on Liberty Avenue- that’s how we got the idea!
How Our Site Works
ShopLibertyAvenue.com understands that there’s more to being online for online’s sake. Having a presence on the web does no good if you’re the only one who knows you’re there. Our concept is simple. Everyone goes to Liberty Avenue almost every week. Rarely do they go to just one store, but may make 3 or 4 or more stops. But they won’t know if there is a sale or promotion this week. By advertising on ShopLibertyAvenue.com, shoppers are informed in two ways. First by our weekly newsletter alerting them of the week’s promotions. Secondly, if they’re looking for something special, they can check our site and find the store that has it. That store may be you!
But it doesn’t stop there! We go beyond the mere listing of your business and actively promote our site and our advertisers. All advertisers get free promotional stickers to place on their store windows and at their checkout windows and registers; bumper stickers, T shirts and the like to maximize visibility; promotion of cross-store business, i.e. no reason why a Liberty Avenue printer can’t give special rates to fellow businesses; promotion and coordination of simultaneous multi-store sales events.
Navigating Our Site
ShopLibertyAvenue.com’s Main Page is the first page shoppers see. Clicking on any image of the Featured Ads, Slider Ads, Top Banner takes you straight to the Detail Page which has all the contact info, business hours, Google Map plus other detailed info. If the business has its own website or In-Site Home Page, there would also be a link to it from the Detail page.
Clicking on the A-Z Index lists all businesses (name, address, phone number) that exist on the site and it’s free, for we want our shopping guide to be as comprehensive and inclusive as possible. For paid advertisers there is a link to the Detail Page.
Clicking on any category in the Category List brings up all businesses in that category, and essentially pulls those businesses from the A-Z Index. Paid advertisers also link to the Detail page.
